Embodied Narratives fuses the core ethos of Where We Come From: Ethnoautobiography - decolonized, anti-racist approaches to writing in community and applies it to an anti-MFA/anti-traditional workshop and critique model of how feedback is given while working on book-length works in progress.
Affectionately called “Embers” - this thirteen week workshop meets weekly on Sundays nights, beginning with a week of introductions and co-working, followed by two people bringing in thirty pages of new material each week for four rounds.
Limited to six participants, each person receives oral and written feedback from their fellows as well as the workshop facilitator(s) as well as a recording of each feedback session via Zoom.
