Flare Workshops vs. Sunday Spoonie Space – Which One’s for You?

🌀 Brought to you by We Are Urban Haiku

We get it — you're navigating life, creativity, and maybe a few chronic flares too. That’s why we’ve created two very different kinds of spaces to support you at whatever energy level or creative phase you’re in:
To Exist is To Flare Workshops and the Sunday Spoonie Space.

Both are rooted in compassion, community, and story — but they serve different needs, vibes, and goals. Not sure which is right for you (or maybe you're curious about both)? Let’s break it down:

🌟 To Exist is To Flare Workshops

Think of these as your structured creative studio sessions.

  • What they are: 3-hour guided writing workshops led by the incredible Ella and Anya, where participants are taken through thoughtfully designed writing prompts and practices. These sessions are focused on helping you generate fresh, original material, and dig deeper into your craft.

  • When they happen: Seasonally — every February, May, September, and December.

  • How long: A full three hours of immersive writing time.

  • Cost: Sliding scale $50–$150. We keep it accessible and inclusive.

  • Vibe: Purposeful, nurturing, creatively activating.

  • Why you’ll love it: You’ll leave with actual pages, new insights, and renewed energy toward your writing goals. Great for those working on projects or craving structure and a gentle creative push.

Sunday Spoonie Space

This is your cozy, come-as-you-are creative gathering.

  • What it is: A drop-in community space, informal and emergent, held for folks who live with chronic illness or low-spoon energy. There’s no pressure to produce — just presence, connection, and shared healing through story and support.

  • When it happens: Monthly, on the first (or second) Sunday of January, March, April, June, July, August, October, and November.

  • How long: About 1.5 hours, give or take.

  • Cost: FREE. Always.

  • Vibe: Tender, chill, gently held.

  • Why you’ll love it: It’s low-key, low-pressure, and built for showing up exactly as you are, however many spoons you’ve got. Stay in your bed, keep your camera off, or just listen in — this space honors your needs.
